Region 517 Santa Ana
PLATINUM AWARD WINNING REGION
2006 and 2007
Every year, AYSO measures the Regions ability to successfully implement the
AYSO youth soccer program. As part of the assessment, AYSO National evaluates
how a Region actively supports AYSO philosophies and policies, strives for
constant improvement, effectively uses its resources, innovates in the
delivery of services, and demonstrates a commitment to training its volunteers.
There are 5 levels of awards that a Region can attain: Honorable Mention,
Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
For the second year in a row, the Region 517 was awarded a Platinum
Award, the highest level award presented by AYSO. This award is a great
achievement of our volunteers because very few Regions ever win an Award,
and even fewer ever receive a Platinum Award
This award belongs to our Volunteers to each Board Member, Coach, Referee,
Team Coordinator, and every other dedicated Volunteer can and should take
great pride in this well-earned accomplishment because your work continues
to make Region 517 a great youth soccer program for our children.
